Biography

Ostentus Therapeutics is honored to have on its advisory board The Honorable Loretta Sanchez, a national political leader with a record of bringing outstanding results to Orange County (OC), California.   Her expertise in building networks between government, industry, academia and healthcare providers will prove invaluable to the company as it generates further awareness for its innovative OST compounds and seeks avenues to commercialize their potential to contribute to oncological treatments.

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez represented OC in the US Congress from 1997-2017. As a senior member of the Armed Services and the Homeland Security Committee, she negotiated budgets, provided needed oversight on agencies and programs, and assisted in developing policies related to treaties. Ms. Sanchez also sat on the Committees of Homeland Security, Education and Labor, and Joint Economics.   She is a recognized leader in international affairs, national security, counterterrorism, and economic development matters.  Ms. Sanchez led efforts on education attainment for all, small business regulatory reform, healthcare initiatives, and technology innovation.  She expanded preschool for children, championed the construction of the largest water recycling project in the world (in OC), and directed research funding to universities in her area to develop a Bio Med industry.  Ms. Sanchez represented the highest concentration of Bio-Med start-ups in the nation.

As a 2018 Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez developed a business model to increase supply of affordable housing in Southern California through vocational training of “second chance” young adults, which is now a business model for housing in California. She stays involved in leadership and mentoring at Harvard.  Ms. Sanchez also founded Datamatica, LLC, in conjunction with Google partners, to help small businesses expand their social media reach to potential customers. She currently is Managing Partner of that enterprise. Congresswoman  Sanchez also sits on the Boards of Chapman University (Orange, CA), Career Education Colleges and Universities (National Board), and Universal Technical Institute (NYSE: UTI).

Ms. Sanchez is also a board member of several start-up companies in the data and health industries.  Congresswoman Sanchez has a BSBA Economics from Chapman University and an MBA in Finance from The American University in Washington DC.  Ms. Sanchez has also been a Senior Fellow in Leadership at George Washington University (DC) and at Florida International University’s Adam Smith Institute (Miami).
